Licensing Requirements for the State of Oklahoma

Low-Voltage/Limited-Energy License: A statewide license is required for anyone who sells, installs, alters or repairs alarm systems (including Burglar/Fire Alarm Systems, Locksmiths, Access Control, CCTV and Nurse Call). An electrical contractor or electrician who is licensed by the state is not required to have an additional alarm license.

Low Voltage Specialty Licenses:
Alarm and Locksmith

Electrician: A statewide electrician license is required.

Electrical Contractor: A statewide electrical contractors license is required.

Application for alarm company manager, company application, certification of applicants experience & fingerprint cards for manager. Testing in Oklahoma only.

310:205-3-2(d) The state issued company license number shall be placed on all letterhead stationary, business cards, invoices, statements, contracts, bids, estimates, plans, and printed advertisements, and shall be included in electronic media advertisements. Decals and yard signs shall display state issued company license number. The state issued license number shall be located on all vehicles that display the company name.
