Licensing Requirements for the State of Vermont

Low-Voltage/Limited-Energy License: A statewide license is authorized to specifically install certain classifications of low-voltage systems.

Low Voltage Specialty Licenses:
Electrical Specialty
Master Electrician
Journeyman Electrician
Type-S Journeyman Electrician
Commercial fire alarm (G7-c)
One and two family dwellings household Fire detection and alarm systems (G7-h)
Electrical lock installation including Delayed egress and access control (G7-k)

Electrician: A statewide electrician license is required.

Electrical Contractor: A statewide electrical contractors license is required.
