Want To Be A Fire Inspector?

In order to work as a Fire Inspector in the state of Florida, you must obtain certification under the provisions of FS 633. Fire inspectors enforce the Florida Fire Prevention Code which is based on the NFPA 1 and 101. The following link provides more information:

Many building departments also recognize Fire Inspector Certification via the International Code Council, but ICC fire certification is NOT recognized under FS 633 or by the BCAIB. This certification is based on the International Fire Code and IFSTA Manuals. ICC fire certification info can be found here:
