Registration for Day on Capitol Hill ends Friday, April 17 and the discounted hotel room block expires on Friday, April 3. Register today!

Plan to join your fellow NBFAA officers, members and industry leaders in Washington D.C. and tell your congressmen and senators how you really feel about key issues that are hurting your business and jeopardizing your future. Every day, unions are in Washington D.C. urging more and more restrictions on non-union business operations and passage of legislation and regulations to help unions directly. Are you going to let them influence these types of decisions without your input?

In addition to our previously-announced agenda, we have added the following topics for you to discuss with your Congressional Representatives:
  • The "Employee Free Choice Act," which would allow employees to unionize a business through public 'card checks' as opposed to secret-ballot elections.
  • Expansion of the unreasonable and crippling paperwork requirement in federal prevailing wage construction contracts on installation and service work.
  • Prevailing wage for unions that is now impacting, on state or municipal levels, commercial contracts over $100,000 - the president recently signed an Executive Order requiring federal officials to use union labor and wage scales for construction projects.
  • Expansion of the Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration (OSHA).
  • Increases on taxes for small businesses.
Once you register, John Chwat and his team will make appointments for you with your elected officials and their key staff. During these meetings, you'll be able to tell the politicians and their staffs how these actions might impact your business, customers, family and community.

PLEASE NOTE: Registering for the event online with NBFAA does not constitute a hotel room reservation. To make your hotel reservation at the St. Gregory Luxury el & Suites, 2033 M Street NW, Washington, DC 20036, call (202) 530-3600 or (800) 829-5034 and tell the reservationist you are attending an NBFAA event.
