I am facing the strong possibility that I'll need to position my A/V stand and components approx. 8' from my widescreen rear projection television. I can run dedicated power and cable outlets to the stand, but would like to find something that will encase the audio/visual cables that need to connect back to the television. I am assuming I'll run them along the baseboard, then bend 90 degrees at the appropriate location behind the television.

Do they make any type of electrical conduit for residential applications that is meant to look a little more attractive than standard commercial grade conduit?

Try www.wiremold.com, or their consumer products at http://www.wiremold.com/www/consumer/index.asp or Panduit has some nice products & they're a little less expensive.

We have used panduit in the past with excellent results. It is also paintable to match your trim.

Is this a concrete wall that you cannot run anything inside of?

Is there a basement underneath that you can drop down into and then up again?

Can you just pull the baseboard and run in behind there?
